Bann Lynch Golf was founded in 2001 by Australia's leading golf coaches, Steven Bann and Dale Lynch. Previously Steven and Dale, along with Ian Baker-Finch, ran the highly successful Pure Golf Academy. Until 1995 there had never been a fully integrated golf teaching academy in Australia.
Steven Bann was approached in 1991, in his capacity as an individual golf coach and club professional, to design and implement a golf program for elite golfers at the Victorian Institute of Sport. Steven's program introduced the golfers to a 'holistic' approach to golf training. This structured golf instruction targets improvement not only to the swing itself but also to a golfer's strategy, physical fitness and positive mental attitude. It also teaches a golfer how to obtain the maximum benefit from practice sessions and how to manage playing under pressure.
Following the success of the Institute of Sport's program, it was a common desire between Steven and Dale to share this knowledge with golfers of all levels. This has led to the formation of Bann Lynch Golf and the opening of their teaching facilities at the prestigious Melbourne Golf Academy at the Capital Golf Club.

Located at one of the world's best golf facilities, in Melbourne, Australia, the Melbourne Golf Academy (MGA) links quality in a golf range to the best coaching available. Whether you are a weekend hacker, rising star or tour player, you will find everything you need at MGA.
There are undercover driving bays overlooking the fairways of the Santa Anna couch grass. The fairway is 350 meters long, 150 meters wide and with 10 target greens set at strategic locations.
Every visiting golfer is looked after, with their own personal bay, a club rack, drink holder and shelving for bits and pieces. Bay deviders protect you from any mis-hits that may stray in your direction. The best ball dispensers are close by, so they are easy to reach with minimal time spent. The practice putting green is one of the biggest in Australia. It is flanked with bunkers of different heights, where you can play long or short shots on to the green. And it is all floodlit, so you can practice well into the night.
Right in the middle of the clubhouse is our retail outlet, with a wide range of equipment and accessories at competitive prices. And if you get hungry, have a snack or a cup of coffee in the lounge overlooking the short game greens.
