By Brendan O'Brien
International golf travelers can track the status of any international flight easily. Many websites offer simple-to-use tools that track flights in real time and list departure and arrival times and foreseeable delays. All you need is basic information like the airline name and departure airport. This guide offers instructions specific to one website, but there are numerous similar sites; see Resources for links.
Instructions
Difficulty: Easy
Open FlightExplorer.com in your browser window. In the middle of the page, find the "Flight Tracking" box. Click on the "Look-up Flight ID?" link.
Use the drop-down menus to search for your flight. Select the airline, departure airport and arrival airport of your international flight. You also have the option of choosing a time frame to narrow down your search.
Click "Find Flights." The next page will provide a list of flights that match your criteria.
Click on "Flight ID" link next to your international flight.
View your international flight information on the next page. This will include departure and arrival times, the weather in the departure and arrival airports and whether either airports are experiencing delays.
Click the "15 Day On-Time Performance History" button below the flight information. The resulting page will show a chart displaying historical on-time performance information for your flight. This information can be helpful in determining whether your international flight will be on time.
