How to Get Cheap Flight Tickets to Nepal
Looking to take in some of the sights and sounds of Nepal--cultural destinations such as century-old temples, as well as trekking, biking and even the occasional golf course--but don't want to overspend? Not to worry, as there are myriad ways to go about securing discounted flights for a Nepalese trip.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step 1
Scour the Internet. The advent of the Web has made booking travel at a discounted rate a relative cinch. Websites such as CheapFlights.com and CheapoAir.com focus on corralling the best deals on flights--including those to Nepal.

Meanwhile, more specific sites such as VisitNepal.com work exclusively on scoring deals to Nepal, including hotels, flights, rafting, trekking and other tours. For golf, the few courses are mainly around Kathmandu--including the Royal Nepal Golf Club by the international airport--and Pokhara, which offers closer views of the Himalayas and is a half-hour flight from Kathmandu.
Step 2
Book very early or at the last minute. Most airlines tend to offer deals for those passengers who book way in advance, in an attempt to fill as much of their flights as possible well before departure dates. Contact airlines that fly out of your nearest airport for rates.
Meanwhile, people who book flights at the last minute can score deals as well. Airlines--pressed to fill flights to capacity--often offer discounted rates to those who book late. Also, check out LastMinuteTravel.com. This site focuses on tracking the latest in last-minute airfare deals.
Step 3
Book a travel package. Whether you do it through an online site or through a resort in Nepal, you're likely to get lower rates on flights, thanks to booking hotel and airfare simultaneously. Visit Nepal specializes in these sorts of packages. The country has a few resorts with golf. To check out one in Kathmandu, Gokarna Forest, go to Gokarna.com. To see one in Pokhara, the Fulbari, go to Fulbari.com.
Step 4
Hire a travel agent. Although this will cost you more up front, these professionals specialize in locating the best deals on flights and hotels. Booking travel to a foreign locale, particularly one as isolated as Nepal, can be tricky, so it may not hurt to hire an agent--particularly for novice international travelers.
