How to Compare Las Vegas Hotels
Las Vegas has much to offer a vacation traveler. In addition to an array of golf courses, there is the bustling night life, great weather, and plenty of options for dining and shopping. When making your Las Vegas travel plans, be sure to take the time to compare hotels to find the best deal. You find a wide range of prices and types of accommodations.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step 1
Decide on the type of accommodations you want. Las Vegas offers everything from budget hotels to posh resorts, so your budget will likely dictate what you can afford. Keep in mind that the cheapest time to travel to Las Vegas is January and February, and the weather is still warm enough then for golf.
Step 2
Determine where in Las Vegas you wish to stay. In general, the Las Vegas Strip has more modern hotels and is geared more for those who want to experience the nightlife. The downtown hotels are older and quieter, but they tend to be less expensive. You can also explore options that are off the strip and away from downtown.
Step 3
Use the Internet to compare many hotels at once. A website such as VegasRooms.com allows you to see what features and amenities are available from a variety of hotels, including the ones have golf courses. You can also get more in-depth information by clicking on the hotel's link.
Step 4
Read reviews of hotels to see what people who have stayed there are saying. A site such as TripAdvisor.com allows you to see comments from previous guests, both favorable and unfavorable. You will also gain access to special rates and discounts that are available.
Step 5
Contact a travel agent in your area to aid you in your comparison. Travel agents often have access to special promotions or other discounts. They can also do much of the legwork for you, which can be helpful, especially if time is a factor. You might be able to find a travel agent who has traveled to Vegas frequently and can give you valuable hotel information based on firsthand experience.

Tips & Warnings

When considering guest reviews, be sure to get a consensus rather than making judgments based on only one or two reviews.
