Meanwhile, travel sites such as Priceline and Hotwire often feature sections detailing the latest deals in air travel.
Book way in advance or at the last minute. Airlines--eager to sell out their flights--often will offer deals on flights months in advance, then again at the last minute when flights fail to sell out. These are two surefire ways to secure discounted air travel. Contact the airline directly--whether via phone or through its website--to locate and book cheap flight tickets, either way in advance or at the last-minute.
