Golf getaways often come to fruition at the last moment. When such an occurrence happens, it's imperative to have last-minute flight information at the ready. As an added bonus, last-minute flights often come attached with hot deals and discounts for those who need a last-minute flight to hit the links.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Scour the Internet. The advent and convenience of the Web has made locating and booking last-minute flights a cinch. Websites like LastMinuteTravel.com and LastMinute.com focus exclusively on corralling last-minute deals on flights, hotels, etc. These include, in some cases, deals on golf-specific vacations and destinations. Also, travel sites such as Expedia and Priceline offer last minute deals, while each of the aforementioned sites lets users book directly through their sites quite conveniently.
Contact the airlines directly. Whether by phone or via the Internet, there's no better way to find an airline's rate on last-minute flights than by contacting them directly. Fortunately, most airlines' websites feature up-to-the-minute prices on all flights, while a number of airlines offer last-minute deals on non-capacity flights, hoping to fill the flight to capacity before departure. Act quickly, however, as last-minute travel deals are a hot commodity. These tickets, therefore, don't often last long.
Consult a travel agent. While a bit dated due to the advent and convenience of the Internet, these travel professionals know where to look for last-minute flights, and how to book them. For those new to flying, or those who simply don't have the time to scour flight times in the hopes of securing a last-minute flight, a travel agent may be the safest bet. Consult your local Yellow Pages to find locally-based travel agents.
