Great Disney Vacation Ideas

Great Disney Vacation Ideas
It's important for golfers ready to travel to a Disney destination to know they can plan a great Disney vacation. There are many Disney vacation ideas out there, especially since Disney has numerous destinations all over the world. Though many are bundled into packages available to any guest, many travelers can build and create a vacation that's just right for them. They can include theme parks, golfing, shopping, dining, and even water sports.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy
Step 1
Determine a budget that is within your means. There are plenty of options and different things to do on a Disney vacation. You just have to see if you can afford to, for example, drive to Disney World in Orlando, or fly to Disneyland in California.
Step 2
Determine if there are specific things you wish to do during the vacation. Do you want to play on a Disney-owned golf course? Do you have to go to Animal Kingdom? These will determine the vacation destination and what activities will be done during the trip.
Step 3
Log on to Disney's vacation websites. Those sites offer different packages at various prices. You don't have to use or book one of those, but you can use these as a starting point to see what golf courses, hotels, amusement parks and even shopping opportunities are available.
Step 4
Plan out a schedule, either daily or for over the while trip. This will make all the activities you want to do easier to accomplish.
Step 5
Consult a travel agent, who can suggest things to do at the different Disney destinations. Not only can she suggest Disney-licensed activities to do, but she can recommend nearby restaurants or hotels.

Tips & Warnings

Consider booking a Disney Destination trip. Many of those include activities that cater to the entire family, from the kids, to the adults. Most, however, will always include activities the whole family can do together, such as visiting one of the amusement parks or seeing a Disney-themed show. Some good Disney packages are Disney cruises, or staying at a Disney resort that is based on or near a golf course or near one of its theme parks. Consider taking the whole family golfing. The Disney-owned golf courses -- there are five of them -- have many Disney themes, including character named holes and packages that include greens fees and ticket prices. There are also two miniature golf course complexes near Disney World -- Fantasia Gardens and Winter Summerland -- that are geared toward playing as families.

Though Disney vacations are generally advertised for families, that's exactly what should be kept in mind when planning one. Meaning, there might be little time for golf since many of the other Disney attractions take at least as much time as it takes to squeeze in a round. Disney vacations and attractions, even the golf courses, can get a little pricey. These Disney vacations can be done cheaply, if one considers staying at a chain hotel or playing at courses that have cheaper rates.
