How to Play Polar Golfer
"Polar Golfer" is a shareware golf video game sold by Yahoo! Games and other video game resellers. The game is set in a polar theme and lets you play with many of the same characters that appeared in the Polar Bowler game to include Santa Claus and Polar Bear. New characters introduced in Polar Golfer are the Gopher, Fox and Moose. When you play polar golf with the Polar Bear as your character, your clubs can become the bear's paws at different points in the game. Polar Golfer is an intuitive game to learn and can be played on any computer that runs the Windows Operating System.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step 1
Select the character you want to play in the Polar Golfer game. The initial two characters for you to choose from are the Polar Bear and Penguin. After you build your profile points, you can unlock additional game characters to include Santa, the Elf and Walrus.
Step 2
Choose championship or stroke play for your round format. In stroke-play mode, the fewest shots taken in the round wins the game. In championship play, there are a number of bonus and other points that you can obtain in order to outscore your opponent.
Step 3
Steer the golf shot through the power rings in championship play in order to maximize the total number of points you can score during a round.
Step 4
Start the first hole of the game by choosing the club to hit your shot. In order to switch clubs, click the arrows beside the club selected for the shot.
Step 5
Aim the golf shot before starting your back swing by changing the direction of shot by clicking the aim arrows, which are located at the bottom of the playing screen, until your character is pointed in the desired direction.
Step 6
Click the shot meter to start your player's back swing, and then click a second time once the meter is close to the top to start the shot's downswing and subsequently hit the ball. When the ball is in the area, you can change the direction of the ball's flight by using your computer's mouse and clicking on the desired flight path.
Step 7
Take all of your shots in this manner until you have completed your round of Polar Golfer.
