How to Wire a 1992 EZ Go Golf Cart
By Jackson Lewis
The 1992 EZ Go Golf Cart is one of the more popular electric golf carts that EZ Go has produced. The 1992 model's electric motor is driven by a battery pack of six batteries that are combined in series to power the cart. When not in use at the conclusion of the day, the battery packs are designed to be continually recharged. A common task for an owner of a 1992 EZ Go Golf Cart is to wire the battery pack when installing and removing batteries.
Instructions
Difficulty: Moderate
Don your acid resistant gloves before conducting any work near your golf cart's battery bank.
Verify the lids to the water compartment of each of the battery pack batteries are closed. Hand tighten by twisting the battery pack lids in the clockwise direction on each battery.
Connect the positive wire that enters the battery compartment from your golf cart's chassis and connect it to the lead battery's positive connection. You will need to use your standard wrench to make the connection.
Take the negative wire from the battery that you just connected to the chassis' positive wire and connect it to the positive post on the subsequent battery in the bank. You will then repeat this process for each battery in the bank.
Connect the black chassis ground cable in the battery compartment to the final battery in the bank.
