How to Get the Best Hotel Deal in Las Vegas
By Greg Lindberg
When preparing for a golfing trip to the popular tourist destination of Las Vegas, Nevada, make sure you can find the best hotel accommodations. Stay at a hotel that is near the best entertainment as well as a shuttle or walking distance to a golf course. Start planning your trip by deciding what courses you want to play and then deciding what other types of activities you'd like to partake in.
Instructions
Difficulty: Easy
Consult your local clubhouse managers and golf professionals about the best courses and hotels in Las Vegas. Get insider information from friends you trust who may also know about special deals that courses or hotels offer in correlation with one another.
Search travel websites like Travelocity, Expedia and Orbitz for deals on Las Vegas hotels. Take notes on hotels you're interested and compare the prices on these websites. Also, go to the websites of the hotels you're interested in to look for deals or packages.
Go to the Best of Vegas website to look for special golf and hotel packages (See Resources). Click on the "Golf" option at the top of the page to see a list of resorts and current deals.
Go to the Las Vegas Golf website for another golf and hotel packaging website (See Resources). This website offers a hotel guide for golfers, golf packages, hotel and course reviews, and group requests. Take advantage of the group deals Las Vegas hotels offer if you're traveling with a group of golfers.
Visit a travel agency for further help in finding the best vacation package. Try to book a hotel on a weekday or around a date that is not near a major holiday. You''ll be able to make an educated decision once you've finished researching for the best deal.
Tips & Warnings
Look for a deal that will also save you money on playing golf. For example, some hotel and golf packages may include a free round at a particular course. If you have a friend or family member who works at a hotel, he or she may be able to get you a friends and family discount at their chain's Las Vegas hotel.
Never book a hotel immediately if you're not completely happy with the deal, as you may be able to find an even better deal.
