How to Find the Right Callaway Golf Travel Bag
In the case of golf travel bags, structure dictates function. Callaway's lineup of golf bags all provide ample protection, so the deciding factor is the equipment that will be going in the bag. Bag size, club length and packing needs all come into play when selecting a bag. Ultimately, the bags fall under two categories: standard travel bags and hybrid travel bags. With a standard travel bag, the golf bag will be placed completely inside the travel bag; with the hybrid travel bag a protective cover goes over the top of the golf bag that can be used for both transport and as a cart bag on the course.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate
Step 1
Decide what will be packed in the golf bag to determine whether a standard or hybrid travel bag is required. A hybrid bag carries only what normally goes into a golf bag along with a pair of golf shoes, while a standard bag can hold additional items such as laundry and toiletry bags. If a hybrid was chosen, the right golf bag is the Callaway Hybrid Travel Golf Bag.
Step 2
Measure the diameter of the golf bag to be carried in the travel bag. If you have a stand bag there are three options; if you have a cart bag (the larger bag type), your options are reduced.
Step 3
Choose between the X-Series and the Big Bertha Stand Bag Carriers if you have a stand bag. They are the same size so the choice comes down to personal preference; the dimensions of these bags are 13.5 inches wide x 52 inches high x 14.25 inches deep.
Step 4
Check your golf bag's dimensions against the dimensions of the Fusion Cart Golf Bag Carrier. This is the larger model, although smaller cart bags may fit in the bags listed above. The dimensions of the Fusion Cart Golf Bag Carrier are 14.5 x 52 x 16.5.
Step 5
Decide if you want the CG Tracker bag recovery device with your bag. This goes inside the bag and can be used to locate the clubs at any time; definitely not necessary but a nice added measure of safety for a valuable bag of clubs.

Tips & Warnings

While Callaway is an excellent company, other golf manufacturers offer comparable golf travel bags that might be of interest.
