Top GLAD Scores
Top GLAD Scores | Golfers’ Statistics
The GLAD Score is the ultimate head-to-head comparison for golfers of all abilities on all courses. GLAD stands for the GolfLink Adjusted Differential, which measures by strokes how golfers perform on courses of varying difficulty, adjusted to account for their individual handicaps. A GLAD score of Even, for example, indicates a golfer played a course to his or her handicap. On the Top GLAD Scores page, GLAD scores are displayed alongside the change in handicap before and after the round played.

Ball Position: Two Options
You can either maintain a constant ball position regardless of the club you use or the more common method of putting the ball in the center of your stance for your wedge and move it gradually forward until it is just off your front heel for your driver
Clubface Alignment
Having your clubface continually aligned open or shut forces you to manipulate your swing, get into good habits by practicing with a board or shaft pointing at your target line and then setting your clubface perpendicular to the board to get used to looking at a perfectly aligned clubface
Putting Set Up - Head Position
Most great putters have their head and eyes set up slightly inside the ball, never on the outside, this allows more of an arc stroke

Chip Shots From the Fringe
Keep your body still in the shot and play it like a putt no matter what club you use
Learning Impact Position
Start your practice session by feeling your impact position, make swings that stop at impact and feel the correct position of your hips, legs and arms
Pine Needle Lies
Play a shot on pine needles two ways depending on where the flag is, if you have room to roll it play it like a chip but if the flag is close then set up to play it identical to a bunker shot
Par Four and Five Tee Club Selection
Do not assume that every par four and five is a driver, you need to tee off with the club that is going to leave your next shot in your favorite scoring position, hitting your tee shot too long often hurts your scores
Flexibility
Flexibility as you get older is very important, it lets you wind up your body to hit the ball with more power, and swinging a pole can help you do this as well as fix your release point
