Just minutes away, award-winning Canadian architect Les Furber
sculpted the beautiful
Meadow Garden,

Mayfair Lakes
course - site of the annual Canadian TOUR'S TELUS Vancouver Open - in nearby
Richmond.
Thomas McBroom designed the beautiful
Morgan Creek Golf Course
in Surrey. In
Coquitlam,
Michael Hurzdan, created the spectacular Westwood Plateau Golf and Country Club. At
Swan-e-set Bay Resort in
Pitt Meadows,
Lee Trevino designed two remarkable championship
courses.
Whistler
is North America's number 1 ski resort and with
four championship courses designed by famous golf course architects
such as Arnold Palmer, Robert Trent Jones Jr., Jack Nicklaus and
Bob Cupp has made Golf Digest rate Whistler in the "Top 20 Golf

recognized Nicklaus' North Golf Course as the Best New Canadian Course.

Arbutus Ridge
is a beautiful course that will please
the eye as much as it pleases your discerning golfing appetite. Every
now and then a new course comes along that raises the bar for golf in
the country. Bear Mountain Golf & Country Club is just such
a course. The only course in the world to be co-designed by Jack and
Steve Nicklaus, Bear Mountain combines the mastery of a Nicklaus
course with the unforgettable scenery of Vancouver Island.
Cowichan Golf Club
is a wonderful track. At just under 6,200 yards from
the back tees, Cowichan's challenge lies not in its distance but in
its tricky landing areas and demanding tee shots. Towering stands of
trees and rolling hills mean that golfers must plan their strategy
well to avoid tricky lies for their approach shots.
Crown Isle
takes golf on the North Island to an all-new level of opulence and
luxury. Duncan Meadows tantalizes golfers with a fantastic
blend of risk and reward choices. Big hitters have plenty of
opportunities to workout their driver but must match their power
with short game finesse if they are going to successfully attack
Duncan Meadow's tricky and well-guarded greens.
Fairwinds
is a fantastic blend of beauty and challenging precision golf. It's
towering Douglas Firs, Arbutus and Oaks trees line each fairway to
give you the feeling you are the only golfer on the course.
Glengarry is truly one of the hidden gems of Vancouver Island.
At just 5,029 yards from the back tees many golfers assume that it
will not present the challenge they are looking for, but those same
golfers often go home having eaten a healthy portion of crow.

is host to the Canadian Tour Qualifying School for six years and one of the most popular
courses on the Island.

Cock your wrist up (not back), swing your arms back, turn your shoulders and rotate your forearms
Rotate around your axis and maintain the same posture throughout your swing in order to pivot properly

Block half of the hole with two tees and practice making putts without hitting the tees
This is an intimidating shot, but it can be managed easily by getting your weight far forward in your stance so that your sternum is above the ball at address
By moving the ball around in your stance and using different clubs you can create many different shots to use around the green
