Okay course, with pretty good conditions. Many older groups in the morning time but seemed to clear out in the afternoon.
I live in the area and have played this course for over twenty years. There's nothing spectacular about it - but it's a great every day kind of course. It's a nice layout, a challenge without being intimidating, generally in very good condition, a good value, and quite walkable. I also appreciate greatly that walking is allowed at all times. The staff is very pleasant. Everything considered, I believe it's easily the nicest public course in the Lynchburg-Roanoke area.
Love playing at this course! The staff is very nice, but there was a senior group playing in front of us and behind us....the group behind us cussed us out dramatically for holding up their game, when it was the group in front of us. Make sure you play when it's not many seniors out there. Was somewhat dissatisfied about the way the staff handled the situation, but it's still a great course.
