I was not impressed when I played this course; as a matter of fact I was deeply disappointed in the course condition. The only bright aspects of the course were the fairways (even then they were slightly on par). The greens were terribly fast and provided a challenge for players who have played slower greens. The sandtraps were in poor shape and in great need of TLC. Some were filled with dirt, while others were true sandtraps. The dirt filled sandtraps could really damage your clubs if one chose to play their ball from the bunker. The green fees the course asks for is greatly overpriced, due to the poor condition of the entire golf course. Making the drive from the Mid-Valley to Laguna Madre, one would expect great course conditions; however that was not the case on that day.
