The Norman Course - Barefoot Resort - Myrtle Beach Golf

The Norman Course The Norman Course Though I did not get to actually play The Norman Course on this trip, here is an overview. Distinguishing it from the others is seven holes on the waterway, resulting in its being the most "scenic" of the four. Also, Norman has worked with the natural contours of the land as he found them. Abundant waste areas and natural vegetation frame many holes of a course which in places resembles some of the desert layouts of the Southwest. It also features McKenzie style bunkers with sloping white faces. There are a few sod-wall bunkers. The greens slope gently and are designed to receive bump-and-run approaches. Norman employed a variety of turf grasses to add color to the scene. The tees and fairways consist of GN-1, a hybrid Norman turf. The approach areas are Tiff Dwarf, the rough areas are zoysia and GN-2 and the greens are A-1. The course plays to par 72 and stretches to 7,200 yards. *

The High Soft Flop Shot Hitting a flop shot off a tight lie requires that you attack the ball with a steeper swing and open clubface so that the club gets under the ball and pops it up softly
Wrist Flexor Stretch Hold one arm out with your palm down and with the other hand push all five fingers up and back to stretch the flexor on the bottom of your wrist
Putting Clock For Reading Greens Imagine what hour the ball would have to go into the hole if there was a clock covering it, and then draw an arcing line back from the hour to the ball
