We had heard of Branson prior to our arrival but where not prepared for what we found. At first we had chuckled at the idea that Branson, Missouri could have as many, let alone more, shows and entertainment than New York City. After visiting the area, I stopped snickering, and started to pay attention.

Space will not allow a listing of all shows, but perhaps a short reference will do. They offer everything from Music Hall presentations to Andy Williams Theater, to Will Rogers Theater. In total there are some 70 shows going on day and night.

Within the area are several golf courses; two are golf resorts. Pointe Royale Condominiums with its championship golf course, and Thousand Hills Golf Resort. Although Thousand Hills has a par 64 executive layout, it is one that has embarrassed more than a few low-handicap players looking for any easy score.

Causes of the Hook

The hook is caused when the club face is looking to the left of the direction you are swinging

Adjust you ball positioning, shift weight forward and lean the shaft forward to allow the club to dig under the ball

Be Aware of Putting Impulses

Many players try to hit the ball when they are about to make contact with a putt, rather than making the same swing as when taking a practice stroke

Fix a Low Trajectory Shot

Golfers who have a problem hitting the ball too low usually take too short a backswing or have too much lag in their swing which takes loft off of the club at impact and drives the ball lower than desired

Lie Angle Importance

The bottom of the clubhead should lie flat on the ground, if it lies on the heel the ball goes left and on the toe it goes right, which in turn will cause you to manipulate your swing, but the ball moves right and left depending on the club you are using so every club needs different amounts of manipulation

Proper Impact Contact Drill

At impact you should hit the ball and ground at the same time, practice this by making a line in the ground and taking practice swings where your divot begins at the line and moves forward
