This course is extremely challenging, which makes it a great course to practice and learn all types of shots. You hit up giant hills and at times what feels like off a mountain. There is some water, but not enough to offer a lot of trouble, some bunkers, but not many, and typically true greens. It is usually not too packed so it's a great course to golf at your pace. The carts have yardage trackers that allow you to know range, and are smooth electric carts. The food is great, and they have an outdoor bar overlooking the driving range. The staff is friendly. Overall it's one of my favorite courses.

Um....walk??? Out of the question!!! I've been for-warned about the "hillness" of this course and it was no understatement. After playing about 170 courses, I've not found a single course as up and down as this. It's hard to review this course. For the holes that are down in the flat...extremely scenic with running streams meandering nearby. For the holes that go wayyy up and wayyyy down...it's fun at first (down) and tiring later (especially up). Trying to figure what club to use becomes mind-boggling. Slopes soooo steep that where I would normally hit a 9 iron...I hit a 7 iron and just barely made it to the fringe. I hit three clubs up for a 180 yard downhill Par 3 (Hole 10) and over hit the green. It's that mind-boggling! The holes at the bottom of the slope as stated before are gorgous...especially the two Par 3s (Hole 4 and Hole 13) as are the flatter Holes 5 and 6. Nothing compares to the impressive drop and into the woods Par 4 12th...one of the most beautiful holes anywhere. But...the ups and downs take their toll and the course ends with three somewhat borish holes at the pinnacle height of the golf course (though 16 offers quite a view for miles around). The final hole, a Par 5, has a fairway so sloped towards the woods that if they mowed it much lower, there's little chance to keep it out with any sort of fade. A great risk/reward hole. Some rolling greens also. My son and I took over five minutes to find the 10th tee and even asked for directions and couldn't find it...it's not very close to the clubhouse. So....would I drive the 3 hours to return...haven't a clue! The most mind-boggling course I've ever played for sure!
