played this course on a unusually warm day in March for Ohio...while i have to say the review by softspikes is a bit harsh i must agree, the part about the pace of play was spot on, ABSOLUTELY brutal. i could have played 2 rnds in the amount of time it took the old timers & hacks in front of us took to play 1 rnd!
here's the real 411 on Suges Isle...this course is *always packed* with local retired geritol townies or leagues no matter what time of day you play. nice folks, don't get me wrong. however, pace can be brutal if you get stuck behind them cuz there always seem to be eleventy-kabillion people playing even on weekdays. best time to play is well, never, cuz the pro-shop can't seem to give an honest answer without a ranger. course itself is your typical country course, wide open layout with a couple holes that can be challenging. quite a few of the greens are absolutely enormous & overall, all of them are *very* slow. over-priced for the amount of courses that are well within driving distance & in better shape (i.e. sprngfield/dayton). club-house is a bust, not really much to it actually. just a counter with a register & 1 hot dog rotater box with 3 JTM franks that were most likely there the day before
