Nice views of casinos on several holes. Tee boxes were in good condition. Some interesting holes, one had an island green. Challenging pin locations. Surprisingly hilly.Greens were in bad condition with small rocks all over and tons of ball marks that were not repaired. We haven't had rain in 4 months, lots of dead grass in the rough.Sand traps were clay bottom with maybe an inch of sand. Impossible to hit out of. Some bunkers were very deep.Way too many two-somes that were not grouped together that caused a slow pace of play.Overall, not worth the 2-3x surcharge vs. playing at a municipal course.
very nice an accommodating staff. beautiful course well maintained and great bunkers (two types here: bunkers and waste areas, not to be confused) priced about right at 150
I played this course Christmass week. I was in Vegas for the first time and wanted a once in a life time experience. I happened to get a 50% off discount on green fees and still Payed $135. I'll start with the good and finish with the bad. The Course is beautiful. Just like the adds say, palm trees, water features, white sand bunkers. Proshop and other ammenities are 5 star quality. Driving range has the net but also has an automatic ball tee system that I found really nice. Now for the bad. The adds don't tell you about the constant noise from the jets coming in for landing every 30 seconds. You only get about 15 seconds of peace before another jet comes in. The fairways are beautifull but hard as a rock. Before you get used to not taking any divots you end up skulling and blading alot of shots on the hard pan. The white sand is not sand. Looks and feels more like Gypsum. Not very deep and very crusty and gritty, be carefull not to get any in your eyes. My wife will tell you it stings. The course is not difficult. Front nine is easier than the back nine, even with the jets drowning out all conversation. The back nine you have to put up with all the helicopters flying over every few minutes to see if any cellebrities are putting on the greens. All in all not a pleasant experience. If you want my advise, visit the proshop, Buy a souvenier to say you were there and spend your money on the tables. You'll have more fun. Don't waist your money here at any price.
