Brookhills golf club offers a laid back and welcoming golf experience for players of all levels. It’s a 9-hole executive public golf course located in Springfield, IL. This course has sand traps and water hazards, which is something you won’t always come across on a 9 hole course. With that being said, it’s an easy round. Watch out for clusters of large trees on the sidelines. There are three tee boxes and no par 5 holes. The longest hole is #9 sitting at 387 yards from the blue tee. The price matches the level of upkeep here. The maintenance is slightly below average and has varied a lot over the years. Try to avoid the course during league and tournament times, as these tend to take priority. This is a truly laid back course with no pretentiousness. Golfers of all levels are welcome. The clubhouse has a great bar where locals come to enjoy a drink even if they don’t plan on golfing. There is a nice patio and in the past they have had live music.
