The 18-hole "Cove" course at the The Cove of Rotonda Golf Center facility in Port Charlotte, Florida features 3,641 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 59. Designed by Roger Parks/MGI Inc., the Cove golf course opened in 1999.
This course recently changed hands. Now owned by the same group that owns Sabal Trace in North Port. That's not necessarily a good thing. Last time we played Sabal Trace it was in a sad state of disrepair, esp the greens.Duffy's [can't remember new name] still needs a lot of work. They did overseed the fairways which makes them look nice, but underneath is about a dozen different varieties of grass and weeds. Greens pretty bad. This is as of about a month ago. The only thing they really have going for them is price, but you get what you pay for.
Played this course this season of 2013...course is in very bad shape....no fairways to speak of...greens are poor condition...course needs an overall....it would be a fun course to play if it was in good condition.
