Sanctuary Golf Club

Nice course. Wide fairways. Very playable if you choose the correct tees. Well maintained although they had just aerated the greens. Cost was $49. Very fair.

A very good golf course that is a terrific bang for the buck. Played on a drizzly day and still thoroughly enjoyed my outing. Very challenging par threes. I would play again in a heart beat.

Came here to play a solo round while we were down at St. Simon's Island over the Memorial Day weekend. I'm a very novice player so please keep that in mind how I graded the course. For me, most of the Par 3 holes were very challenging and occasionally unforgiving. The course is obviously not Augusta but greens and fairways are maintained adequately. The people that work here are very nice. I did go on a Sunday afternoon(around 4pm) so I didn't expect much from the clubhouse. I was able to purchase a couple of brews before going out at least. Their driving range and practice greens were very good. I will definitely come back to play next time I'm here and see if I can't shoot those Par 3 holes better.

Greatly enjoyed playing this course, even though it felt like I hit every fairway bunker. Tee boxes, fairways, short rough and cart paths are all well cared for. Greens were slow, but in good shape. The odd-shaped bunkers (boring rectangles, usually) had loose sand only an inch deep, and hard-packed below that (don't know if that's intentional). Would definitely choose this course again when I'm in Brunswick.
