I just moved to Warner Robins for the summer and have been playing at this course a few times a week. The course is challenging for me because of a lot of narrow fairways. There are a couple of interesting holes that are difficult but fun, especially #6, #9, and #15. The value and location is what keeps me coming back. I usually walk 18 holes for $16 during the week, or if I'm feeling lazy I can get a cart for only 4 additional dollars. There are some parts of the course that are poorly maintained, most noticably some rough patches on the greens.
I've tried to play this course every time I get to Robins AFB. I've watched it deteriorate over the years. It was a joy to play in Aug-Sept of 2009. I could tell a lot of effort had been put into it. But, September 2010 is probably the worst I've ever seen the course in 10 years. It looks like a lot has been done to save it, but it's in really bad shape. Someone at Robins AFB needs to figure out how to save it because it would be a shame to lose a course with so much character and potential.
