Just played here yesterday and very happy to see huge improvements. This was a favourite place for our group to play 5 years ago and it may well become that again as long as it remains a fair value $$ wise

Course is under new management. Lots of changes. Greens are being redone. bunkers worked on. Lots of positive feedback on greens playing true and rolling a little faster then norm. Only negatives so far have had more of a story to them then being told. Overall most people playing have so much positive to say.

At the moment it's too wet. But I still see things that should be weedeatered that have nothing to do w the weather. Not sure why, seems to me this would greatly improve the appearance which is shabby at best, for now, let's hope. So much potential. 10/20/16 140pm. UPDATE. Approximately 90 min ago I showed up to use my rain check I got on the day of original post. Planned to hit some range balls. I told one of the owners i wanted to use my rain check, and before I could ask for range balls she was offering me a refund. Obviously there to play, I was shocked she knew who I was, and referencing my original review which was a 2. First of all she made me feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome. It seems they don't want honest reviews. I made clear I had no ill will towards them, this is my home course and have played it hundreds of times. They made me feel like I was out to intentionally hurt them, which is the farthest thing from the truth. I was looking forward as I expressed originally to improvements, but at the moment, FB asked for a review and I gave it. If they don't want to subject themselves to the publics honest opinion, GET OFF FB! My review is my review, we aren't in China or Russia. I felt they wanted to dictate their reviews!!! They made a point to let me know this was their only GOLF review and they couldn't expect to get biz with negative reviews. Am I in the twilight zone? Sorry. Take yourself off social media!!! On top of that the husband owner told me I must have no knowledge of golf if I was concerned with the appearance. Wow. I've been playing 30+ years and never witnessed such a ridiculous pair. In my opinion they were over sensitive and can't handle mild criticism. Read for yourself my original review. Oh and just to get an idea of the maturity of these two. See the two post that have been suddenly placed since I left. Claiming that my standards are stupid? Steer clear of the wackos running this joint.

The course is in need of alot of care, there are bare patches in the fairways and greens, and St Augustine in the fairways. The layout on the front 9 is boring and felt like a low end muni course to me. Even in the shape its in, the back 9 is a fun layout that is worth playing. If you can catch specials, the course can be played for some great rates. It is worth checking out for the right price.

They cut down almost every pine tree on the course. Looks totally different if you have played the course before. Hole 2 tee box is now a straight forward shot rather than having to deal with the pines on the right side. Played it over the summer and conditions were not that great. I never have high expectations for the course because it has been going down for a while. Used to play the course all the time and it is sad to see it without pine trees. I don't think I will ever play the course again, will never be the same.
