The 9-hole "Red Maples" course at the Red Maples Golf Course facility in Waymart, Pennsylvania features 2,400 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 33. Designed by Robert Pozza, the Red Maples golf course opened in 1960.
Red Maples is a small, family-run course that has lots to offer. Don’t let the size of the course fool you, it still has plenty to offer in terms of challenging your skills. The course is 2,400 yards long and has three Par 3 holes and six Par 4 holes. The terrain is gently rolling hills. The fairway is dotted with mature trees and is lined with dense trees along the perimeter. There aren’t many hazards except for a medium-sized pond. With that being said, club selection and small greens will test your skills. This course is short enough for a beginner, but still fun and challenging for a more experienced golfer. Just don’t expect a long course, Red Maples is a very quick round. You’ll get a chance to use most of your irons on this course (a driver won’t be needed.) Elevation changes and small greens keep things interesting. The course is a good deal at $9.50 for the green fee or $15.50 with a cart. It’s the perfect spot for a family outing with your junior golfer(s). Watch out for the signature hole #3, which has a sharp dogleg left and runs 324 yards long. You can enjoy a delicious home-style dinner at the Red Maple restaurant on-site. Red Maples golf course is well maintained and the pride of ownership shows. It’s a fun little course for a quick round.
This golf course is really fun. It is really short and fun for kids.I would highly recommend it if you have kids who want to learn.
