Im a member at this course nd it is a great home course, its very beautiful with trees surrounding you. However, i think that if u were just going to play here it wouldnt be that challenging. The greens are average speed but kept up well, and all the holes are straight with only 3 holes where the water hazard actually comes into play. Its a great course to fine tune your game and to enjoy the outdoors. I just wish that they would water the greens a little less, so they can be fast like Ilahe down the road. Overall, a above average course.

Beautiful courseI am a member so take my review with a grain of salt. What differentiates this course from so many others is it's sheer beauty. Lightly rolling fairways as green as can be with enough water hazards to make it interesting. Wildlife include ducks, geese, beaver, deer and many types of birds. The greens are well-maintained for a private/public course. The pro shop is medium sized but has all the essentials (no clubs). The covered mats for winter or foul weather practice is included. The grass practice areas are very well maintained. The range shop is well-supplied with all your club needs with competitive prices. The staff is wonderful from top to bottom. 3 pros are present to give top-notch lessons or just a tune up on your swing. Video or no video instruction available (See Len Collet, who trained the late Canadian champion George Knudson). The restaurant is tradional inside and is known for the baseball cut of steak (round). They have THE best hot dogs I've had anywhere in the world! Nothing is better than a hotdog at the turn with a nice cold beverage of your choice. The pro shop is of white colonial architecture with a nice member's area dressing locker room. There is a good-sized practice green adjacent to the pro shop and plenty of reasonably priced pull or riding carts. On in all this is a great golfing experience an I never get tired of golfing at Salem Golf Course.
