Great course...well maintained and beautiful scenery. It can definitely bite if you're not on your game. A must play.

A great SoCal Classic!Although on the shorter side (about 6300 from the tippy tips), this Geo. C. Thomas course has teeth because (a)it is quite narrow in spots, and (b)the place is surrounded by barancas and heavy brush. By the way, George Thomas is that same guy who designed Riviera, and there are hints of Riviera at Ojai Valley. Frankly, if you are a big hitter, most of holes can been had with a mid to long iron drive and a wedge into the undulating and often fast, true greens. Until about 10 years ago, this used to be a seniors tour stop. Really pretty place with a number of interesting holes. My personal favorite holes are the 450 yd par 4 #5, which looks and plays just like a hole at Riviera, and the #7th which requires a carefully placed tee shot and an even more difficult sort of hidden approach to an elevated green across a little creek. Pro shop as nice as can be and there is a great little pub with cold Guinness and Stella awaiting, which is great because in the summer it can be triple digits.
