lexisdadthegolfer - fyi, this is a public golf course as you clearly already know because you played there. coming from someone who has played a lot of golf, both high school and college, you know that public golf courses cannot offer you the amenities that a private course can. for instance, on a sunday afternoon, the manager is usually not there, that is simply common sense. secondly, sunday afternoon play is usually families or other groups that are trying to enjoy a relaxing round, they aren't out there to play a speedy round, they are there to enjoy the company of others and the course. simply put. the fact that you attacked the "high school girl in the pro shop" about something that was obviously out of her control is absurd. as golf rules state, a single player has no standing on a golf course. regardless, how is this her fault? clearly, you are not the golf expert you make yourself out to be. i'm sure wilkshire is better off without your play anyway. you should consider joining a private course.d as for the golf course itself, which is really what this site is about, it is a wonderful facility that is clearly well maintained and cared for. kudos to the ownership and management of wilkshire. i will definetly be back regardless of lexisdadthegolfer's ridiculous comments!

Played this golf course on Sunday 7/13/08. I was enjoying my round of golf after driving 2 hours to this course, when a group of 3 young high school boys let me go around them since i was a single player in cart. I then have a man and his wife let me around them on number 10. I get to hole number 11 and a 4 some with cart was in front of me. I then was stuck behind these men from hole number 11 until hole number 15. At each hole i was on the tee box waiting to see if they would let me go around since i was single player with cart. I finally after 2 hrs playing 3 holes gave up. I went to the pro shop to ask for a manager and none available. I then proceeded to tell the girl working the pro shop about my disatisfaction with the 4 some. I told her how this made the course look bad with this kind of golf courtsey. She began to tell me that she didnt see how this had anything to do with the course. I then realized i was dealing with a high school student that didnt see my point. By this time i was more furious with how the pro shop employee handle my complaint. Then to top it off as i was leaving the Student comes out to the parking lot and adding fuel to the fire, she just waves like oh good they are leaving. I paid 30.00 for 18 with cart, 2 hr drive and was treated like garbage and that my frustration was not important. I play alot of golf all over Ohio and this is one course i would never play again nor will i reccommend this course to anyone in my county. What made this situation frustrating from the start is these men play in the league at this golf course. Terrible treatment from a patron who just wanted to play a round of golf. 7/14/08I called the manager (Bruce) about my disatisfaction at his golf course on Sunday and explained the events that took place and his response was we cant controll what golfers do in the course. I then explained how rude i was treated from the pro shop and he made more excuses. I then assured him i would not ever reccommend that course to anyone that i play golf with in my county. We have several groups of golfers that go on weekends and play different golf courses throughout Ohio, and i would not reccommend this course and his statement was thats okay we have plenty of golfers here. This is why golf courses are hurting for business and have to raise prices every year. No courtsey to out side golfers. I assure all golfers you would never be treated this way at the following golf courses, "The Pines" "Riceland" "Mohican" "Hocks Nest" Try them and see if you have the same experience as i had at this course.
Played on a Friday afternoon and found the course to be very affordable ($28.00 for 18 with cart), and well maintained. Overall, a very enjoyable round.
