The 18-hole "Emerald Crest" course at the Emerald Crest Golf Course facility in Fulton, New York features 5,435 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 68. Designed by John Mayne, the Emerald Crest golf course opened in 1960.
Emerald Crest is an 18-hole regulation public golf course that is quite a bit shorter than your average regulation course at just 5,435 yards (generally these courses are closer to 7,000 yards.)The pace of play is excellent, and the holes offer plenty of contrast in length. The longest hole (#14) tops out at 500 yards and is a Par 5. There are a number of other shorter (yet still challenging holes.) Holes 2, 5, 11 and 13 are all under 150 yards. The biggest challenge on this course besides club selection is the water traps. Luckily, you won’t find any sand traps at Emerald Crest. The fairway and the greens are well maintained and play true. There’s a good pace of play at this course. It’s $30 on a weekday, which is good value for the player experience at this course. The clubhouse has a good bar with excellent beer selection and the food is your standard pub grub. All in all, Emerald Crest offers plenty of variety, a brisk pace and a casual clubhouse to enjoy your 19th hole at. It’s definitely worth a regular visit.
This is a interesting, fun course that is well kept. It is a good course to play for a quick 18 holes without alot of traffic. I enjoy playing here.
