The course is coming back under new management. The fairways are in great shape, the greens are improved and the overall experience is good. The staff at both the range and course are helpful. I highly recommend the hot dog at the turn; the best in the northeast.

Other improvements:

-Allowing the rough to grow out has made this a more difficult course to score on
-The traps are not hard packed and playable
-The aesthetic improvements are noticeable

Over priced for what it is. The pub and grille are nice.

Indian Spring is just another average flat no frills golf course in New Jersey. I have played almost every Southern Jersey course known to man and have come to the conclusion that unless you spend $75 or more you can expect similar courses to this one. The few exceptions might be Buena and Valleybrook. There wasn't anything particularly wrong with this course, it's well maintained and the greens are fast with a few hidden breaks making putting a bit difficult. It's not very challenging maybe with the exception of the 5th and 18th, both really nice holes. Otherwise though, it's up and back, side to side. Uniqueness and scenery are lacking...just nothing special. $29 to walk weekday twilight is o.k, but not spectacular. They do have logo balls for the collector like myself, a definate plus. I suppose the best way to sum up this course is vanilla, very vanilla. It's not a bad place to play, but there are a dozen other courses very similar to this. Pick one, or try Buena, Valleybrook, Golden Pheasant, or Wild Oaks for some more unique holes and nicer scenery. Overall rating B-.

Out of all the public courses in South Jersey, I have to say that I'm most partial to Indian Spring.

I usually play on weekday afternoons when they have a special for $20-25 on GolfNow, and it's a wonderful deal for that price.

The course is well maintained, and the greens roll faster than the majority of public courses.

They have a cart girl with beverages, new & quiet carts, a great food stand on the way to the 10th hole with monster hot dogs, and a well stocked pro shop.

I think they used to have more specials but I'm assuming people are starting to realize that this course is worth the money and they are paying full rates.

Either way, it's definitely worth playing once, and much more often if you are relatively close.
