Rolling Hills

This course has improved itself a great deal over the last several years. One used to compare Rolling Hills with a cow pasture that happened to have a couple of putting surfaces with flags. Things have changed although I doubt that the owners of this course have put a large amount of money into the course. The greens could use more care.

This course is WIDE open, so bring out the long stick. There are plenty of hills to match the name of this golf course which brings the only real challenge to this course. There are a couple of complete 90 degree doglegs, but other than that, it’s an easy course to master.

Practice facilities include only a large putting green.

This course is about the cheapest in the area, making the value of this course better than most.

Good Value for the working class.

I enjoy playing this course. It is a great course to hit if you have been off of the links for awhile and are trying to get back in the game. For the money it is a great value. Tends to get backed up on busy days, but we usually tee off early and miss the crowd. Has a few challenging holes, greens are pretty much flat, fairways are well traveled and a bit barren. I do like the fact that the course is wide open compared to some of the others in the area, so if you have someone in your group that hits a bit wild, you don't have to spend all day looking for the ball. Course seems to be getting a bit better over the last couple of years.

Really not too bad of a place...for practice. Don't go here if you're looking for lush fairways, nice clubhouse...you won't find it. But if you want to save some money and don't mind lower quality fairways, then this bad is a pretty good deal. The greens are actually really good---good roll but brown in spots, no patches or anything...just looks odd. The fairways though look like your backyard.

Kind of a short course---I only drive 260-275 and I was close to hitting the green on a couple of holes from the teebox.

If your in the area and want affordable golf, friendly staff...this is a good place to go to.

easy course, greens are better than they used to be.

its never going to be hard but the owners are putting some effort into making it nicer. the greens are pretty good in size and they are somewhat slow but pretty well kept. it looks like they are making an effort at putting fairways on the holes now. its definetly for beginners but an inexpensive course and the value is pretty good. its better than mccandles, foxwood, green oaks and maybe corbin hills. its better kept than corbin hills but corbin is a little more challenging and corbin's layout is much better.

For my first few rounds, I found Rolling Hills to be decent enough but then they raised the prices. Not sure if just for summer, although I don't think summer is the right time to raise prices. Anyone willing to brave the heat should not have to pay more. Jack prices up during spring and fall when it's cooler. On most of my rounds there, I've had a lower score on the back 9 than the front. All in all, the only value is waling. If you're going to ride a cart, you might as well go to Crescent for just a couple bucks more.

Most of the tees are fairly hard, sometimes you have to try to insert the tee 2 or 3 times. The fairways and roughs are cut and well maintained. The water hazards banks are trimmed neatly. The sand traps are maintained poorly, most are growing in, some have minimum grooming. The greens typical are cut neatly, most have two types of grass growing, giving inconsistent putting speed. However, for the price and ease of getting on the course, it is a good value.

It is a value course

I have played this course several times. The course is not as well kept as its value competion across town. Pluses are the clubhouse is modern and it is convient to Salisbury. The drawbacks are the course is extremly crowed on warm weekends, and the maintance of the course suffers becuse of the traffic. There are better value options in the area, both for daily play and membership

Too pricey for this course ,has a few fun holes but the fairways are patchy bare spots and hard as nails, good luck getting a tee into a couple of the tee boxes. Greens need alot of work. Understand the weathers been brutal but the other courses around still have their fairways and greens are still good. Need to reevaluate the fees. There are still better courses close by for a better fee.
