The 9-hole "Orange" course at the Keith Hills Golf Club facility in Buies Creek, North Carolina features 3,326 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 36. Designed by Ellis Maples, ASGCA, the Orange golf course opened in 2012.
Truly great course. Perennial top 100 US course in the 80's before people lost their minds and built lavish courses everywhere. Immaculate course conditions and fun to play but if you want to score you better be a player. Home of Campbell University golf teams which are nationally known and a great youth golf program that is growing itself.
Keith Hills has undergone some changes with the closing of nine holes of what was called the "River Course" or Keith Hills II. Today Keith Hills has three nine hole options: "black" and "orange"; the original 18 hole layout, and the "white" course which is what's left of the River Course. We played the black/white combination today and the course was in very good condition. The greens were very good to excellent. They rolled true and were about "average" as far as speed is concerned. The fairways, bunkers and tee boxes were all in good shape and the course layout has always been a favorite. The pace of play was good and this continues to be a great layout and a good value. It's a bit of a drive from the Raleigh area but worth an occasional trip for an enjoyable round of golf.
the front nine now called the orange course the back nine called the black course
