i played this course last year and it was immaculant so i planned another trip to play it last weekend. ( It is a 3 hour drive from my house.) To say we were dissapointed would be a understatement. I found out that the course has changed management once again during the year. The tee boxes were dirt and sand, the fairways were hit and miss. Some holes they were descent but others were not good. The greens were ok but nothing spectacular. Do yourself a favor and avoid this dog track. It is a shame because the scenery is spectacular and it was a outstanding course to play last year. I understand we had a rough summer but you can drive 5 miles down the road and look at high hampton and there course looks good.

This is definitely a hidden gem went there recently with 3 of my buddys from savannah ga, we thought it was one of the greatest courses we have ever played, with probably the best par 3's in the world. Just the overall beauty and scenery of the whole place is awesome. The pro Tom was so cordial and warm you would think he has known you for years. I think the only way this place could improve is with a practice range but as far as the golf course there is no need to improve perfection and i recommend that if you are planning a golf trip to western carolina or north ga then this is definitely a must course for you to play.

Good course, recently renovated, just reopened May 08. The course in almost always in good shape. Greens are rolled and cut short, some of the fastest/toughest greens in the area. The layout is good rather difficult course. Beautiful scenery. Ammenities are ok, nice pro shop and restaurant. However no practice green, chipping area or range. Rather expensive but their twillight rate is affordable. This course will be in great condition 09! One of the top public courses in the Cashiers area.

I played this weekend, and the course was a mess. Perhaps they should look for a better greens keeper. Many of the tee boxes had little or no grass. The fairays were patchy and sparse. I had to move my ball in the fairway to find a patch of grass on almost every shot. The management should definitely warn customers of the current condition when calling for a tee time and offer a discount until the course is in decent shape. The current condition certainly does not justify the price.

This is a true mountain course which rewards you for hitting the ball straight with strategic placement. The greens were all in excellent shape and the fairways were all in really good shape. Twilight rates are a bargain for the area and I had the course pretty much to myself. I played twice this week and I look forward to coming back.

Not in good condition, price increase 9/08 (prior rating '06)
