Joachim Golf Course is a good 9-hole course at a good price. One of the big reasons the course is so popular is because of how accessible it is. You can basically see it from I-55 and if you’re in Herculaneum it’s right off of 61.
Even though it’s a 9-hole course, it’s fairly challenging to all levels. It plays 3,129 yards, so if you loop around and play it twice it ends up being the length of a normal 18-hole round. The rating is 68.8, it has a slope of 115, and par is 36. That’s all from the blue tees but there are also white, red, and gold tees in front so that anyone can play here at the best yardage for their game.
One of the fun parts about the layout is that there are three par 3s, three par 4’s, and three par 5s so you get a nice variety of holes. A typical design includes five or six par 4s per side, so Joachim Golf Course is a fun mix of shorter and longer shots. Holes 6 and 7 are actually a tough back-to-back combo because 6 is a 212 yard par-3 from the tips and then 7 is the longest hole on the course at 529 yards.
Joachim Golf Course is a good 9-hole track that has nice carts and is super easy to get to if you’re short on time. They don’t have a driving range but they do have a small chipping and putting area to practice before you tee off.
