This is my home course and despite some flaws it is still one of my favorite courses of all time. It is a very old course so the trees are mature, and the layout has character that is hard to find on courses these days. On a Wednesday evening you might find yourself all alone on a beautiful course with nothing but your thoughts and the challenge of hilly fairways, untamed rough, and elusive greens. Shoot par here and your partners deserve to buy you a cold one in the old clubhouse. With some money this course could be pristine. Better maintenance, greenskeeping, and the addition of bunkers could get this course on Missouri's top courses list.
