The 18-hole "Willow Brook" course at the Willow Brook Golf Club facility in Byron, Michigan features 6,101 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. Designed by Jerry Clark, the Willow Brook golf course opened in 1964.
First time in my life, I had the manager meet me walking up on the 9th green to tell me to hurry up and make the turn to get his league out. We played the front in 1 hr and 45 min (4-some). This after we waited to tee off behind four groups that were just going to play a couple hole to "warm-up" holes before the league started. The course it-self is a cow-pasture which isn't surprising from the area it was in. It was very poorly maintained, especially when I had to move a shovel out of the way before I hit a bunker shot. The customer service was terrible, thankly I had a free pass, because you could not pay me to play there. Michigan has 100's of great courses to choose from - play somewhere else. I'd would even prefer Rouge Park in Detroit.
A challenging, but somewhat open course. For the most part, the course is well maintained, though could use some special attention to tee boxes and fairways. Lots of clumps of grass throughout the course. The price is good for 18 holes. I would recommend this course for anyone to golf. I enjoyed my time and will be going back.
Nice course to play. Been there a few times.
