Disappointing. Played it 4 years ago when it was semi-private members kept it in shape. Just played it in April 2018, it is a daily public now I think, the course and facilities look run down and the clientele look like public players.

I just played this course last week. What a gem! Great old style course with small greens. I really like the layout. The clubhouse is old and the pro shop is not much to write home about. The course is very good if you like to play old style courses that were built in 1927 by Donald Ross. Overall the course was in great condition.

Recently moved to Savannah and have played about a half dozen courses in Savannah/Hilton Head area, Most courses have fairway grass about 1/16 of an inch on top of sand, great if you need sand shot practice (all day long). Putting in my membership at Wilmington Golf Club next week. If you like playing on lush grass fairways, well manicured traps, and the beauty of huge old mossy oaks with a little bit of water to make it even more interesting, than you really owe it to yourself to give it a try.
