The 18-hole "Old Union" course at the Old Union Golf Course facility in Blairsville, Georgia features 7,667 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. Designed by Denis Griffiths, ASGCA, the Old Union golf course opened in 2009.
Over 7600 yards long, what else can you say about this course. We traveled 2 hours just to play it. It was awesome. It's only a couple years old so it has some maturing to do. The greens had been punched a week earlier but still ran true. All you long hitters out there, you need to check this one out. When was the last time you had to use your driver for a par 3????? Thought so!!! smile!!
Pretty good new course. Totally different from any of the other courses in the area. If you're in the area, go play this course. Excellent driving range!!! Pro shop staff was nice, as well as the cart guy.
