Park Ridge Golf Course

Great municipal course with exceptional customer service. My wife and I played it 4 times in November 2009. Paid $24 with cart after 11:30. Busy course, played in 4 hours, then 2 at 4.5 and last round in 5 hours (not good). Built on an old landfill but extremely well designed with lots of elevation changes, tough par 3''''''''s and some blind shots due to rolling terrain. Sulphur smell at some times can be problematic. Good service, clubs taken from car at bag drop, cart loaded and waiting at Starter Tent & Pro Shop. Clubs cleaned after round and loaded in car. Staff very pleasant. Overall a real good test of golf, I played blues at 6,000 yards but they had gold & blacks as well. No water in play except on one hole as a lateral. Turf in good condition and well maintained. Greens are a bit slow but very fair. Lots of rough where the ball is lost for sure. My wife really enjoyed this course, no water and traps weren''t a problem for her. No. 17 is a great hole but creates holdups, Head Pro was out there trying to speed play up. Play this course, you''ll enjoy it. On Lantana, 2 traffic lights west of FL Turnpike (no on or off there). Congratulations to Palm Beach County for utilizing an old landfill and doing it up properly.

fun course, nothing like anything else you will play in florida. some fairways and greens 30 yards under the tee boxes. nice elevation based play. greens and fairways were good, not great.
I definitely recommend and will play again.
