The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club, Naples, FL

DO NOT PLAY HERE. This was the highest priced course we played over a 4 day trip and was by far the worst of any course I have played in the area. There are weeds growing not only in the fairways but in the bunkers that have not been edged for a long time. Most of the greens were in terrible shape except for holes 9 and 18, you can see from the clubhouse so makes sense since they want you to play the course. Most of the placards showing the holes from the tee boxes were partially hidden by the overgrown plantings around them. Look at their website notice the pictures with the ocean in the background, not one of the holes has a view of the ocean.

On one of the early holes you have a great view all of the car dealerships on Route 41 on your approach shot. The positive was the staff was friendly and courteous but they know the issues with the course. As we were leaving we stated our dissatisfaction with the course and the response was , we know and hear complaints all the time.

Played this course on 5-7-2010, the superintendent and his staff should be ashamed of themselves. It's difficult to find any healthy bermudagrass on the "bermudagrass greens", it's all been poorly taken care of, and they were overseeded. Good luck keeping that alive over the summer. They are infested with weeds, and many have bare areas the size of a kitchen table. I hit into one of the par 3's, and saw my ball splash into sand. Come to find out, it landed on the green in a bare patch. This is the worst-conditioned course in the area, followed closely behind by Fort Myers Country Club. Whoever decided to establish those standards needs to have their head examined. I gave the "maintenance" a half-star only because I wasn't able to leave it blank.
