The 9-hole "Royal" course at the Grand Palms Spa & Golf Resort facility in Pembroke Pines, Florida features 3,420 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 37. Designed by Ward Northrup, the Royal golf course opened in 1965.
The true reality is that the Grand Palms Golf & CC is outdated; The location is great and is located in beautiful Pembroke Pines with easy access to I-75. The Golf Course, has 27 very challenging holes that are in very poor condition, the course does not drain very well and being close to the everglades makes it a very muddy playing conditions. The greens are very slow, bunkers have little sand and full of rocks, the tee boxes are unleveled and are not mowed frequently, the carts paths are either full of pot holes or poor patched asphalt work. The service at the restaurant, golf course and hotel is very poor; they seem to have a "What do you want" attitude. In general the facilities are run-down and outdated. If you want a better value and updated golf course, check Pembroke Lakes CC.
