You may question overall rating vs. individual components, but the experience here is as good as it gets in my book. I enjoy all the "Big Cats" and have played all the top (and a lot of the bottom tier as well) courses in Myrtle beach area. This one, the Dunes and Caledonia are dependingon the day, my favorite. Tim Cate and Ocean Ridge are a great combination. Someday, Leopards Chase or the long promised Jaguars Lair may surpass Tigers Eye, but that day is a ways off. This is the absolut "must play" on the north end. My only complaint is the lack of a hazard flag or warning on #15 for the water right of the fairway - ruined a good round. The separate clubhouse is the best of the three also.

Played today. Course was in great shape! Workers everywhere, assuring to the little details of maintenance. Staff very friendly. The design is fantastic. Not an ugly hole on the course. Tiger's Eye is one of the best courses that I have ever played.

This is course was in fine shape and I enjoyed it. However I was a little disappinted because of the advertising I read about the course before I got there. I didn't see a waterfall that was advertised. The elevation changes that were supposed to be like the Sandhills wasn't present either. There wasn't much elevation changes at all. I saw a real good deal advetised in the local paper is the reason I played there. In my opinion it isn't worth the extra money that the course usually charges. I didn't see that much difference between Lions Paw or Panthers Run to justify the increased cost to play here.
