Beautiful course, very well maintained, one of my favorite courses I have played. Pretty open course, but its a fairly new course, in a few more years when all the trees have grown in, this will course will be a real gem. Enough water and sand to keep things interesting and challenging.

Wide Open from the ClubhouseThis course is really a spectacular sight from the clubhouse. When you first go to the course you make the turns off of the major roadways and begin to take the back roads to the course. As you are driving, you say to yourself, "Is there really a golf course up here?" Then as you turn to go to the parking lot, everything opens up. You go from the deep forest into the wide open valley of a golf course. When you go inside, the clubhouse staff is very friendly. The course usually has a starter at the first tee because the course is one everyone is starting to play. Make sure you have a tee time in the morning because you probably won't get in if you don't. I was very impressed with the way the course was maintained. You never seemed to have a bad lie in the rough. The greens were very, very fast when I played there. The were fast, but rolled fair and true. The course starts out very nice and has an assortment of holes. Some are short and require just a punch shot to the green, while other may require a mid iron into the green. Hole #4 requires a very conservative tee shot. Keep the ball to the left because anything right will cause major problems. The most controversial hole is #6, a par 5. Your tee shot must be very accurate as you hit through the trees. Don't use a driver because you'll be in the woods. Right is out of bounds and left is in the woods as well. Very tough hole. After your drive, the hole opens up around the dogleg. Most of the course is wide open with a few exceptions. The course provides many opportunities to score and very little trouble. I've always been happy about playing this course and in time the difficulty level will increase as the trees that were planted begin to grow. Right now they pose little threat, but in the future they will make errant drives very costly.
