Great course! I played early in the season so the rough hasn't quite grown in yet. It is an extremely well maintained, long course with a good amount of bunkers and rolling greens. The pre-season rate of $40 was awesome, but it gets a bit expensive for an out-of-stater during the season. One of the best in RI.

Given the outstanding condition (even in mid November), who cares about the mediocre amenities. This course proved to be an amazing golfing experience. Unfortunately, my experience was hampered by a rainy and foggy November afternoon. Which actually added to the landscape and feel of a traditional European course. A must play for any golfer. A copy of the course layout is a must. Neither the scorecard or tee box markers have layouts of the holes, significantly adding to difficulty if your a first timer to Newport, as I was!!

Great course, well maintained, and worth the money.
