Very disappointed is the least I could say about this course. Don't let the name fool you. This course was not any better than most state park courses I have played in KY or TN. Everyone in my group felt the same way. It was highly over rated and over priced. We were expecting to see a lot of nice views. One would expect mountainous views when one of the descriptions used to describe the course is "Cumberland Mountain." I should have listened to a friend of mine and played Deer Creek for half the money.

The greens and the fairways were excellent I will give it that, but like I said earlier no better than many state parks I have played.

Great Experience All The Way Around! Highly Reccommend!

You had better bring your "A" game if you are playing here. This, as expected, is a tough course. There are hazards everywhere. If it's not the sand bunkers, it's the narrow fairways....If not the fairway's, it's the water....If it's not the water, then it's the pin placement....and so on... You Will enjoy this course! There was a bit of wear on the course which is expected due to the amount of traffic it recieves. Look around for good deals on this course. It IS a MUST play.

The course is nice...not anything special compared to any other middle TN course. The downer here was the unbelievable hateful, rude people in the clubhouse and the attitude of the players on the course. Just an opinion, but the Nicklaus courses are way over-rated. The other state courses are just as nice or better in most cases. And the folks running the other state courses seem much nicer. Why?

Beautifully maintained, memorable holes, very challenging. You'll use every club in your bag and have to think your way around this course where position is everything. Typical Nicklaus layout with lots of mounding, contoured fairways and tiered greens. Rather slow pace of play on the day we visited, but the scenery was a delightful distraction as we waited.

This was a beautiful course. The design worked into the natural beauty of the landscape. The staff couldn't have been nicer. It was raining on and off the entire day and they came out and brought us an umbrella and towel. Nice clubhouse . Can't wait to go back, this was by far one of the best courses we've ever been too... FANTASTIC

A really nice golf course. Probably the best $ value I have ever played. The beauty may be more in just the layout and clean white sand bunkers than the rolling terrain. Many of the greens were well guarded and required good approach shots. Putting was tough. I will definitely want to play the other Bear Trace courses in Tennessee.

Fantastic. Great scenery at a low price. Perfect tee boxes. Nice fairways and greens. Perfect bunkers. As usual, the pictures I looked at on-line beforehand don't do the course justice. Pure golf, with only two homes even visible from the course. It's very surprising this is not a top 5 public course in Tennessee.

UNBELIEVABLE COURSE. I REALLY ENJOYED MY TIME ONT HIS COURSE. IT IS SOMEWHAT DIFFICULT, BUT ITS BEAUTY MAKES YOU FORGET HOW HARD IT CAN BE. WARNING THOUGH, DO NOT GO INTO THE WOODS TO GET YOUR BALL! FRIEND ALMOST STEPPED ON A COPPERHEAD ONLY 2 FEET INTO THE WOODS. THIS IS A SUPERB COURSE.

i have played here about 6 times and the course is always in good hape and the staff very friendly and helpful. it is a difficult course, but fair. i would recommend this track to anyone, except beginners as it would be too difficult for them.

One of the most beautiful coursed I have played. I was amazed that this was a public course. I only had time for 9 holes. Staff was great and very friendly. I do not agree with the out of state or out of town added fees.
