Not a bad course and value. Some hinky holes, especially the first two, that require local knowledge. Nothing special, but it''s good and in good shape generally.

Difficult course, but far from impossible. Some holes are "target golf" while others are wide open for the taking. Can easily cut a few corners even from the black tees, and it's far from dauntingly long, even from all the way back. All 4 par-5 holes are eagle opportunities for mid-to-long hitters, especially #18. Definitely not a walking course - don't cheap out and skip the cart. If you want real "target golf" with a little more rough around the edges, drive another hour north and hit Shattuck.
Had a chance to play here for the first time since playing it when they opened in 1998...wow...what a difference. That course that i remember in 1998 is nothing like the one it is now. Found fairways much wider then i remembered and there isn't half the trees that they use to have. Conditions for a public course were as good as any private facility in the area. This place has fantastic service and makes you feel like you are a member. The starter and rangers made me feel welcome and even helped me look for my ball on two holes. Ranger actually gave me two balls to make up for the ones i lost...I was lucky enough to catch the Director (Terry O'Hara) to thank him for a great day with me and my three friends. He actually gave us a quick tour of the new Callaway Performance Center and then let us hit a few shots to see the difference in proper club fitting. I was so impressed and can't wait to make that our preferred course in 2009. If you have not had a chance to play it you will find a course that is remarkable from top to bottom....and if your 60+ you get a cart and green fee during the week for only $40 bucks.....WOW!!!
