My wife and I played there today. Well, she played -- I have an injured finger so I just tagged along. The course was in very good shape, especially considering the amount of rain that hit it yesterday. Nice layout, challenging greens with a lot of hidden slopes you can''''t see from the fairway. Everything was well maintained. Cost $22 for her to play 9 (which I thought was a little high), but would only be $29 for 18, which I think is a great deal for the quality. There was some goose crap like one poster said, but it was by no means overwhelming or any problem at all. We''''ll be back. I would recommend it if you are in the Triad.

The Meadowlands is a beautiful course, with exciting fairway play, and beautiful scenery all around a real pleasure course. The staff in the front office could use some personal communication skills, they were unfriendly and acted as if we were bothersome when checking in. Oh, and I almost forgot, they tried to overcharge us on the ladies day. I will never forget that one.

Meadowlands isn't a bad course at all. I liked it better last year but my two biggest complaints are: all of the goose crap, espcially around the big lake, and how poor their driving range is. The goose poop is really bad on hole 10, I mean you can't tee your ball up without stabbing some. And the driving range teeing area is horrible. It just seems like the course could be taken better care of, which is true of lots of courses, but this looks unattended. It seems to being going downhill to me which is a shame because last year I would have written a different and better review. Hopefully Pinnacle golf will fix it up some and get it up better like Stoney Creek which is another one of their courses which I like much better. It really could be one of the better public courses in the area if it was just taken care of better. I'm a 10 handicap and think it is difficult enough without losing it's fun.
