This course is living on name and name only. While it is early in the season, you can tell the course ended on a low note and unless some serious work it done to correct that, it will be sorry all year long. The pro shop liars are not to be believed about anything except maybe the amount of folks on the course. No matter what they'll tell you THE COURSE IS IN GREAT SHAPE. It RARELY is. Let us not even get into the inflated greens fees. This is a $30-35 weekend rate course. Just because you slap on the title Country Club doesn't mean slap on the price but forget about the quality. You are better off going to Foxwood at this point. This place is a joke.

This course could be awesome but the greens are not in good shape right now. Bare spots, plugs, grass shoots, poorly cut holes lead to tricky putts. Staff was courteous and friendly though.

I rated this course 2.5 because the fairways were so-so and most of the greens looked like they were dying in spots. Some bunkers where as they should be an others were like a ditch with some dirt poured in. The course can be much better but seeing as we are in the beginning stages of summer and heat (it was 90 all week) I don't see it getting better before it gets worse. Unfortunately, you don't have a lot of choices around LR so you are forced to deal with what you have. So it may be worth trying out during the week or at twilight, but they way they are charging to play this place on the weekend don't be surprised if you are highly disappointed. It's a $30/$35 course at best.
