the caddie service was extremely usefull although my personal caddie couldn't read breaks on a green. shadow creek was my first $500+, golf course and i felt as if i were a king. the overall service was great the fairways were a little under water so i would say that their maintenance was up to par. the pictures on the internet were extremely inaccurate and i was fairly dissapointed of what i saw instead. i would recommend this course to everyone.

The course is about to close for about seven months to undergo a $20 million renovation to the greens, tee boxes and traps. It plays well as it stands today (about a month before closing) but because of all the new courses in the area, and how much play Shadow has gotten over the years it could really use the work. I had a great time playing there, and I can't wait until they open up again in 2009, it should be just as solid, but about 100% more picturesque and green! This course has never been reviewed by the USGA and does would play closer to a 130 slope rather than the 115 listed on this site. Do not use your rounds played on this course if you're interested in calculating an accurate handicap

I was expecting to be "wowed," but came away disappointed. The trees and vegetation looked tired and unhealthy, the turf was not in great shape for a premium course...the green on #17 was practically dead. This course tries to fight nature, and that's a very difficult and expensive battle. A couple months after I was there, the course closed for renovation...it needs it.
